LEWT – Bay’s Edge Cast/Jig Open – 2024

The Lake Erie Walleye Trail hosts an annual walleye fishing extravaganza, drawing anglers from far and wide to the bountiful waters of Lake Erie, known affectionately as the “Walleye Capital of the World.” This prestigious event is a testament to the allure of walleye fishing and the enduring legacy of Lake Erie as a premier destination for anglers seeking trophy-sized catches and unforgettable experiences on the water.

Set against the backdrop of Lake Erie’s expansive waters and stunning shoreline vistas, the Lake Erie Walleye Trail event offers participants the opportunity to showcase their angling prowess and compete for top honors in a thrilling tournament setting. Anglers launch their boats from various ramps and marinas along the shoreline, each one meticulously equipped with cutting-edge fishing gear and seasoned with years of experience on these storied waters.

For a one-day tournament, 85% of entry fees are paid back to the top nine(9) finishers in a 45-boat (or more) field. For a two-day tournament 90% of entry fees are paid back to the top nine(9) finishers in 45 boat or more field. A full field of 60-teams will result in a first place payout of $5000, and total payout of $16,200 for the top nine teams!
